Dad is still the same, no new episodes, he is losing more weight he just doesn't feel like eating. Some days he thinks he can get out of bed so I remind him he can't. Thanks to Rhonda, the CNA,
who helps me alot and Dad likes talking to her every morning. Audrey, Dad remembers you, Thank You! for your hugs and prayers. Until next week I'll keep everyone informed.
Our Love To All,
Dad and Connie

A Visit from Grandson Sam III and Great-granddaughter Ashley
This weekend was so nice for Dad he got to touch his great-granddaughter's hands and toes. She gave him a kiss too! After the last weekend after Sam left the next day Dad had hallucinations, he thought he was back in the late sixties working on his truck. He would ask me for a 9/16 wrench at 2:am in the morning, I replied where am I going to get this wrench, with a quick response he says in the tool box, but, I say it's dark he says turn on the light no Dad it's night time, time to sleep we both had a sleepless night. He would be talking to someone he saw, he would tell me don't you see the 5 girls in the room, no Dad maybe they are angels waiting to take you home, he would say yes! I am ready. That night he was seeing things clearly, his eyes were wide open. He has calm down now he is taking a sedative he is also eating very little, equivalent to 1 meal a day. He can no longer walk to the kitchen table or feed himself. Every week is a little different than the week before. I can see how he is losing weight and how tired he is. The nurse tells me he will lose his appetite completely. He will be taking liquied pain medicine from now on.

He's Still Alive
Ask him how he doing and his response is "I'm still alive". Ask him how old he is and he'll tell you he's 95 of 100 (he's only 93).
Right now he's in Hospice care at home with Connie. Last week we were able to get him out of bed and to the table to eat but it was difficult and painful for him. He's staying in bed now and has a CNA come to house to 5 days a week and a RN comes once a week.
We plan on keeping him at home as long as we can, when it's no longer possible he will go to the Hospice facility where there will be more help. Connie is doing a great job taking care of his needs now.
Connie will pass on any comments received.
Bye for now.
